A household budget assumes that money keeps arriving. Death, illness or injury can break that assumption while housing and everyday costs continue.
There are two different gaps. Death can leave other people without financial support or unpaid care. Being unable to work can leave you without income while you are alive, even if you have no dependants.
Start with who relies on whom, what costs would remain or change, and what savings, benefits or workplace cover are already available. The useful output is a list of gaps to discuss, not a product bought because everyone supposedly needs it.
