A fire can leave a household with a bill far beyond its savings. Insurance transfers some of that financial risk to an insurer in return for a premium: the price of the cover.
The promise has boundaries. The contract describes the events insured, who and what is covered, and how a valid claim is settled. Buying a policy does not make every loss payable. This course teaches you to read those boundaries and prepare a claim; it does not select a product for you.
