A plan needs an opportunity you can recognise and an action you can actually perform there. A reading book on your own reachable shelf may help; a book blocking a shared doorway creates a different problem.
Changing the setting can support a routine, but it cannot make behaviour inevitable. Check access, available time and any agreement needed. Then observe whether the action happens in the changed setting.
