'The pilot is basically ready' is short, but ready for what? A reader deciding whether to invite customers needs to know what has been checked and what remains open.

During revision, compare each claim with the evidence behind it. Replace vague wording with useful detail where you have it. Where you do not, say what is uncertain rather than making the sentence sound more certain.
