Aspect is the direction a wall or slope faces. In the UK, an unobstructed south-facing wall usually receives more sun and warmth than a north-facing one. Nearby buildings, trees, slope and wind can change the actual exposure.

Record the orientation, then observe the particular planting spot. A compass direction is a starting clue, not a guarantee of sunshine or frost protection.
