A battery-electric vehicle, or BEV, stores energy electrically and uses one or more motors to turn its wheels. A hybrid also has a combustion engine, so a BEV maintenance claim cannot simply be applied to it.
Electric and hybrid vehicles contain hazardous electrical systems and stored energy even when switched off. This course covers owner observations and permitted checks. It does not teach high-voltage access, isolation, testing or repair.
